THE AWA TEAM
Please join us in extending best wishes to Bruce, who is retiring from AWA after 22 years of hard work and dedication. He leaves with 35 years of knowledge and experience in the electrical engineering field. He was an invaluable member of our team; both his professional and personal presence will be greatly missed in our office. Bruce will work with us part-time to maintain client needs, but Brad will be assuming the responsibility for clients and projects moving forward.
We wish a fond farewell to Bruce as he takes a long and much-deserved vacation!
Brad Adcock, P.E.
Brad is the founder of the company, which started in 1997. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry. He has a Bachelors of Science degree of Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, and is presently licensed in multiple states, including: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Montana, Hawaii, Alaska, Nevada, Arizona, and Wyoming. Brad oversees the operations of the company and acts as Project Manager on many of the projects.
His passions are hiking, golfing, traveling, but most of all - being on mission with Jesus, serving with his wife Angelina. They have 4 children, ranging from 20-24 years old, all of whom are not pursuing a career in Electrical Engineering, which is not surprising.
Principal since 2015, Robert brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and overall knowledge of our industry. Robert has been with the company for 16 years, and started doing AutoCAD, and quickly became familiar with all aspects of design – specializing in lighting design, controls, and power distribution. His specialty areas are: Health Care; Skilled Nursing; Mixed-Use; and Educational oriented projects.
Bruce Braga, P.E.
Bruce has been with AWA for 21 years, and has over 35 years of experience in the electrical engineering field. Bruce gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University in 1979. His area of expertise is waste water treatment facilities, power distribution, and retail design. Bruce's role is Lead Engineer at AWA, and has been the Project Manager on 9 Whole Foods Markets projects over the past eight years.
Mark transferred to our team from a firm in Anchorage as an electrical engineer in 2018. He has an extremely broad range of talents and experience: power and lighting design, to project management. Mark has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas and has been working in the industry for over 11 years. We've enjoyed having him on board, and value his wisdom and expertise he brings to our continued growth at AWA.
Wayne joined AWA in 2018, and has been a huge asset to our company. He has been in the industry for 30+ years and offers a tremendous level of experience and knowledge to our team. Wayne manages projects from start to finish, and his personality and people skills are what sets him apart from the rest, and he knows how to communicate well with the his design team to accomplish the goal.
Leilani joined us in 2018 as a recent graduate of ITT Technical Institute. Leilani has gained an expert knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD and has been working in the engineering industry since 2014. Since joining AWA, she has worked her way to being a Design Engineer and now manages her own projects. Leilani’s hard work and dedication has allowed her to move up to a roll that supports our many wonderful clients. Outside of work, one of her many passions is teaching dance. She has been a recent instructor at a local dance studio in the Puget Sound. It's certain her contribution here is vital to AWA's success.
Allie joined AWA in June of 2019 as our Administrative Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, and Office Manager. She joins our team being proficient in Microsoft, Google Docs, and website builder programs: WiX & Google Sites. She oversees our office's day to day operations as well as website, marketing information, and specifications. She is currently learning drafting in AutoCAD, and proving to be very valuable to our team. Along with her interpersonal skills, Allie shows an enthusiasm for creativity and marketing.
Lance is the newest member of the AWA team, joining us October of 2020. He comes from a background in Aerospace and is proving to be a valuable addition to our team. In his free time, he volunteers as a youth Martial Arts teacher and leader in the Royal Rangers. He enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. We proudly thank Lance for his military service in the United States Armed Forces.
Shawna's company "Sound Solutions" handles the financial record keeping for AWA: Payroll, Invoices, Income Taxes, and Accounting are some of Shawna's many talents. She received her BS in Accounting from the University of Idaho. She has been doing accounting and bookkeeping since 1994, and since 2017 for AWA. She ensures all the numbers are in order for us, which is quite a task. Outside of work, Shawna enjoys spending time with her family.
Rest In Peace
In remembrance of the late Kristine who fought a hard battle with cancer until September 28th 2020.
Kristine was an important part of the success that AWA has been blessed to have for the last 8 years. She possessed a never wavering dedication from the moment she became a part of our team. She was a steadfast person who always wanted to get everything right, and she never gave up.
Kristine will be forever missed and the loss of her presence can never be replaced.
